Powertrains and Performance
Under the hood of the base model is a 2.4-ltier MIVEC inline four-cylinder engine with 166 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a continuously variable transmission, earning an impressive 30 highway mpg.* You can upgrade to the GT trim, which has a 3.0-liter MIVEC V6 engine with 224 horsepower, 215 lb-ft of torque, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
For better performance as you drive, available Super All-Wheel Control combines several technologies, like an Active Front Differential and Active Stability Control, to monitor wheel spin to send power where it’s needed.
With seating for seven people, the Outlander is perfect for families. You’ll also find 63.3 cu ft of interior cargo volume, which lets you easy store groceries, luggage, camping gear, and more. The rear seats easy fold down to accommodate large objects, while available leather-appointed seating will create a luxurious atmosphere for you to ride in comfort. A remote power tailgate is ideal for when you have your hands full, as is the push button start system. These are just some of the many great interior features on the Outlander.
In addition to a suite of airbags, Brake Assist, and a standard rearview camera, you can find a range of premium safety technologies available on the Outlander. For example, Adaptive Cruise Control can keep a safe following distance between you and the car in front of you, while a Rear Cross Traffic Alert system warns you if there’s a car approaching as you’re reversing. A Multi-View Camera system can monitor multiple angles at once, while LED auto high beams are great for improving visibility in even the darkest conditions.
